They only had double curved edge during lockdown....so there's a shadow line at bottom, but you get the idea. Sent from my SM-A217F using Tapatalk
Ok, that’s it. Head of to T.P. and see what they got in stock. Then if that don’t go well, I’ll head off to the pvc place. Then I’ll get started after lunch. Thanks for all input , but I’m surprised by the lack of mirth and mickey taking as I was expecting rather more Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,hungry business this planning malarkey
Just spotted that before I left for the merchant. Like the look and that may be the upvc thing I end up with. Once I’ve fitted whatever it is that I’m fitting and wherever I end up getting it from, I’ll pop up a picture or two. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,Thsnking you , one and all
No, didn’t bother. I used Farrow and Ball state eggshell so not water based. No reason why you couldn’t spray it with a primer to get a good key then top spray coat . Some great adhesives out there now with instant grab. UPVC men will have their favourite
If you fit pvc you could try multi surface paint ,sticks to all sorts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Robbins timber in Ashton will have what you need. https://www.robbins.co.uk/ that or just foam it in….
My tuppence worth ... based on having done the same a couple of times for other peeps. 1) Get a square ended spatula, or one of these: https://www.screwfix.com/p/vitrex-a...PcSsoPAoKWuTB66SCGxoCHvcQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds and use a first-use Stanley blade to square off the curve if you want. 2) Get some decent wide masking tape 3) Get some cheap as chips B&Q's flexible decorators caulk (I'm sensing you want them to be involved ) ... or even silicone if you want better protection from future water-based disasters (mdf a no-no btw) ... Personal favourite would be "Forever White". If you mask the floor to directly below the front face of the skirting, and bung in liberal amounts of the caulk ... taking off the excess with the magic tool you'll have a clean fill of a varied depth of gap that will take up a fair bit of any future movement
Bit late now, but I can’t believe I didn’t think of that, geeeeee nyus that’s what that is. just listening to Gary Shearston, what a track, I get a kick out of you Ozziedog,,,,,,guess who’s just got back from the pub
