  1. To be honest, when I first fitted them I didn't sand them back, but knew I wasn't going to drive anywhere untill a few weeks late.

Reminds me to really take it out more

  2. Thanks to @zedders for the recommendation for blanking off the hot air intake, tonight's little job. [IMG]

  3. Just read through this whole thread. Utterly amazing, well done. As someone who is picking up their first ever camper on Saturday, it’s daunting to see everything you’ve done! Makes me very excited to get stuck in to ours (not that I have anywhere near the mechanical chops you obviously do!)

Sorry to hear this mate. Hope everyone's ok. Is it just the front panel that got damaged?

  8. So far looks like just the front. And some inner floor. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

  9. Bummer :(. Curse these modern cars with their too short stopping distances! I always think that when a car pulls directly in front of me on the motorway etc. Their stopping distance is likely to be less than mine

hope you’re ok and it’s not too dreadful a repair.

Did your doors escape? Hope so, I'm not completely unsympathetic. :)
I wish someone would smash into the rear n/side arch panel on mine so I could get it fixed under the insurance!

  14. They sure did dude, one won't open only dude to the fold on the front panel.

Never has to go though insurance for anything so this process is very confusing.

Well there's a plus at least, good doors are so hard to find.
...and front panels are a wee bit weedy, I expect you almost stopped in time!

  16. it’s the naughty drivers that jump into the sup long stopping distance gap I’ve left /)

I know that feeling, it seems like you're going backwards sometimes. So bad on the M6 one dark rainy evening, despite me going just as fast as everyone else people were undertaking me and shaking their fists - just because I left a safe gap in front which TBH still wasn't enough! I turned off, had a coffee then carried on along smaller roads. Utter mayhem in rush hour around here.
