I can't find the reply button and there isn't a box below, just the message. I've tried typing in the same message but it won't let me.
I've done it thank you! I had 5 duplicate messages come through and it was only the first that I can reply too! Thank you so much for your help @Baysearcher!
....and as big a can of worms as a bus, but the forums... Ahhhh! Let's say it's been a long time since I even looked on one.
Indeed it would! I love the retro awnings - NLA VW have a gorgeous one https://nlavw.com/home/407-nla-vintage-yellow-driveaway-awning.html
I hadn't really intended 'wild camping' although I do love the idea of pitching in the forest under the stars although I think it's illegal in England anyway and probably has to be in a tiny tent elsewhere. We just need to stay clear of communal showers/toilets if they are in a large building (I'm clinically vulnerable to Covid). I have found a few sites which have individual 'ensuite' loos and showers for each pitch as well as those which are more like the old 'privy' hut at the bottom of the garden, where each door opens to the outdoors (rather than in a large block that you have to walk through a communal area to get out). Both of these types tend to be on working farms with great scenery and unlimited pitches which we prefer anyway. Although taking our own pop up loo/shower tent is also something we are considering.
@The Steels be aware there are a lot of scammers out there so you need to be careful. Send me £19.95 and i'll tell you how to avoid being scammed.
Thanks, please post your bank details (including all passcodes and passwords), full name and address here and I'll make it happen
Umm, just one problem, we've just sold one of our cars to fund the dream van and I'm not sure I'd be able to pop to the shops in a boat !
Not sure if you got sorted yet and mine isn't late but it's a good solid bus, mostly original paint which means nothing hidden The number plates clearly visible to do an MOT history check, you will see corrosion has never been mentioned and it's my daily driver. 1776cc motor with around 5000 miles on built specifically for this bus by a well known builder. Nice upholstery, full width r'n'r bed and the rest of the basic unit's are easily replaced/adapted to suit your needs. It's local and you're welcome to bring as many people as you like to view it. Coincidentally 5 of us used to camp in a tin top split with awning and I'm 6'4" https://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/1969-californian-import-deluxe-camper.93055/
