Upright fenders, post 67 door handles, indicators in the wings I would guess, very late 60's or very early 70's, might be a Sparkefer (basic edition), which tends to confuse things.
I'm not a patina guy, but it looks to have that perfect used look without looking abused. Looks like chinchilla grey?
Hard to get a value on it from just one photo, it looks it's all there, but what's the bottom 6" like? That's the question.
It’s solid enough to pass the last MOT a good few year ago and been on the lovely dry garage since. One bodge plate on the near side heater channel, rear crossmember replaced and the parcel shelf to inner wings was done previously -not to any great standard but functional!!! A replacement 2” narrowed beam on the front and it has an engine that ran. It was bought in a haze of newborn baby delirium and I did get it back on the road before taking it apart a bit to do the beam and stuff but never quite finished it….
A 67 from the US, so a bit of a weird model, lots of one-year-only bits, plus US only parts, like the wings
Blimey I was going to offer £100 If I wasn’t planning on moving I’d love this as my daily. Not very practical though and I already own one pile of rust. Sigh!
I think you may get more sense ( if you can on this board lol ) if you put how much you actually want for it or you may subconsciously not really want to sell so don’t want to.
I was trying to persuade Pkrboo at techenders that he needed a beetle as he doesn’t have enough projects on the go. I’ll dig it out of the garage and bung it on eBay or marketplace.
