Starting the long process of clearing my parents' house after my Dad died just over a week ago.
First thing to remove as it is in the way is the Stannah 420 straight stairlift that goes up 14 treads. It was installed in 2014 and has been (expensively) serviced regularly. No idea what these a worth, but if it's of any use to anyone on TLB you can have it for £200. I can help remove it but I'd rather you saw it working beforehand.

Next is what I think is a Rascal 388 mobility scooter. Well used with scuffs and scratches and a bent bumper, but it runs fine and comes with the charger. Again, no real idea what it's worth, maybe £200 again to a TLBer?

There's an electric hoist in the back of my Dad's Sharan which is very useful and can go with the scooter. I haven't taken a picture but I will do and can put it up on here.

There's the VW Sharan as well to go, probably needs its own listing. It's a 64 plate 2 litre turbo petrol thing in black with less than 20000 miles and the usual elderly driver scuffs. Let me think about a fuller description, pictures and a price for that.

Sorry for your loss, my condolences.

@1973daisey works for Stannah so he may be able to advise any potential purchases / tell them its a bargain etc
He is also experienced in mobility scooters after he did his leg in.

You may be best selling the Sharan, electric hoist and scooter as 'one'.

    Thank you.
That's a good suggestion about a package with the Sharan.

Thank you Sarah. He was still writing articles for the RHS Plant Review at the end of March. One you might have liked was a discussion on the merits of reforestation with native or introduced tree species and the relative impact on the insect population. Not bad for the end of his 91st year.
We'll be putting his ashes with Mum's under the Sorbus megalocarpa :)

Hmmm, interesting. Although the stairlift has a 2014 sticker on it, that model was discontinued in 2013. Haven't found the paperwork for the sale to my Dad yet, which was a replacement for the refurbished one they installed a few years earlier. Oh, and they want £190 to take it out. Well they can just @@@@ off. I'm perfectly capable of taking it out and going down to the local scrap metal dealer and getting a couple of quid for the remains. Now open to offers from TLB members:)
