The site has about 10 of them and are 6 years old, plus we live in a hard water area and they are still working well so they aren’t that bad.

 

Must have decent water softening on site then, amazed if they are all original and lasted this long mind.

They are ok, I've got one just the same, better than getting drenched on a day like today. Worth getting the special rear tyre, if you haven't already, you don't need the fancy blue one, however. Generic ones are half the price

I bought the one that has the sensors for the app, that was a predictable waste of money, used it the first ten times and that was it!

 

if you can ever afford it or can borrow one try a trainer like the Wahoo Kickr. I've had one for about three years and use mine all the time, I used it to train for a cycling holiday in the French Alps. Being able to use programmes like Zwift are an eye opener including the ability to go on a joint Zwift ride with your mates despite being locked down etc. I dont know what @bernjb56 uses?

I’ve got a Tacx Flux 2 - just completed the Tour de Zwift. Most days I do about an hour. I did a time trial last week and realized where all the serious riders go.

 

A time trial that was brave, I never realised how serious it all was, I've done a non-drop group ride with some people I know and that was bad enough!
