I have a warning light now on the 79 30 years of ownership and I never knew the handbrake could still be on
Probably quite a few times . But worse was leaving it in gear when parked up on the ferry. When I got down to the car deck at the end of the voyage a lot of the cars had already disembarked, thank goodness coz in my haste to get away from the penetrating gazes of the crew who seemed in such a hurry, I started it when it was still in gear; it's quite amazing how powerful that starter motor is, good job the car behind had already disembarked otherwise I might have left a Bus sized dint in it.
I have a warning trigger to install. I’m sure it’s more complicated to do than I imagine. I’m a very methodical person, so can stick to routines like making sure a handbrake is on or off. Problem is when it’s ‘routine’ I then think of other things...walk away and wonder “Did I actually put the handbrake on or just imagine it!?” Double-check. I did. Time wasted...again. Reckon a light might jolt me out of absentminded auto-mode. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
