After 1 abortive attempt I found a seat belt that will fit neatly in the rear of my crewcab.

Had to run through all the mounting bolts with a tap as I don’t think they’d ever been used - possibly not a requirement in South Africa ?

Also found a small split in a panel join on the load bed that I repaired (read bodged) with some Isopon and backed up underneath with some Tiger Seal. A proper welded patch repair would have better but this would have meant removing the fuel tank etc to gain access. A job for the spring.

I was getting a little water on the cargo floor after it rained so hopefully this has cured that for the time being.

I bought a new 7/16 unf taper tap from my local fastener shop.

The threads were there but just needed a run through to clean them up.

One seat belt fitted - another on order ;)

Cleaned up and torqued down the pulley bolt. Cleaned up the flywheel - degreased and wire-brushed with the Dremel.

Then Mrs Norris wanted to go for a walk, so an hour later (at a brisk pace) I just about had enough energy to clean up the mess I made in the garage. Hopefully we'll have a bit more progress next weekend!

Took her for a run out to see the MoT man ( who's actually a lady ) .... pass with no advisories which is great ...1563 miles since last MoT...not so great.
    Let's hope 2021 is better.

Cant believe that a week in Scarborough as soon as restrictions were lifted and 3 weeks in Devon and Dorset and a few days in the Cotswolds amassed so few miles... and I'd upped my mileage limit as I did 5k the year before.

Relocated the tracker/immobiliser to somewhere it isnt held on with a bit of shock cord and powered off the charger lead for the DAB radio.

Checked I can turn fuel solenoid on and off from the phone and its still where I left it.

Its quite hard finding a hiding place that is not screened by metal.
