  1. Hi, My friend is looking for a carb set up for 2.0l type 4 engine to replace fuel injection system that is proving to be a pain to get working. If anyone has anything let me know price etc.
    Cheers
    Rob

I have the original twin Solex carbs, manifolds, airbox, and various bits of linkage and balance pipe that I took off mine when I fitted the Webers. £100 posted the lot. Will dig out photos if interested. Note they were running but I think need a refurb.

  4. If you can some pics that would be good.

Tell your friend to spend the money on fixing the FI, it’s better than any carb set up on a standard engine.

  9. I would stick with FI if possible. If he is determined to go carbs he would be better off investing in a twin Weber 34ict set up or if he can run to it dual Weber 40IDF’s.
Tell him to take a look at Classic carbs or Eurocarb websites they have them.
The original Solex set up works well if the carbs are not worn and set up properly.

  10. I have a complete fi set up minus the controller if he wants to stick with Fi
Looking for around &£100 for the lot

They do work well, but unless refurbed and set up it already I'd say it would be as easy to get the FI working and a better end result, particularly if it's already there and fitted. They all seem to have the same problem - that flap thing with the wiper that wears the track out..

  12. The bus is a USA import and it’s not ran for a long time, the fuel pressure in the rail is 6psi, it’s got a new fuel injection pump on and filters so something isn’t right.

  13. Is this complete with all the hoses etc?
