What's actually wrong with it?

 

Think it prob needs re gassing, it lights Up ok on gas and seems to chuck out heat from vent on top when on elec but metal plate inside just doesn’t get cold!(it used to proper freeze up overnight if left on!)
It’s destined for the tip tho as I’ll prob just buy new one next year so free to collector (Horsham West Sussex) if anyone wants to play with it!
It’s done well tho prob 10yrs old!

 

Stick in the tip, mate. If it doesn't work on any power source, then I agree, it's lost its gas.

 

try turning it upside down for 24 hours- it worked with mine

 

yep its an absorbtion type, turn it upside down like @bluecab says

no, look up absorption fridges and the way the liquid can crystalize
