I bought this for the wife 6 years back. I drive it fairly frequently so it’s my other German bit on the side

  2. How much do you charge a cut?

Had it 6 years, bought private then for 3500£, FSH one owner. Great car it’s the 3.2v6. Heavy front end.

It’s done 127K now. Head gasket went 6 months back- engine out, skimmed, new timing chains etc, cost a whopping 1.8K. Most I’ve every spent on an indy repair.

Mot due soon. Massive pressure to sell now as rusting badly. Difficult to find anything as interesting and practical to replace it, but potential outlay is scary on repairs and am now compelled to keeping up the camper

Think they were hairdressers then, but don’t see too many hairdressers in a 15 year old V6.

Ok, still a hairdressers car :hattip:

I had one when they were first produced back in the day. Had it chipped to 280bhp if I remember right.
    Really fun car

Yeh, when you look at what you can buy for the similar money it’s a grim choice especially when it needs to be a reliable daily driver.

Thinking of investing in it as potential for classic

My nephew had one and I once had to sit (curl up) in the back, not pleasant.

No, you’re best off having no legs in the back. If you sit up straight in the back the tailgate will crack you on the head also.

But in a kind of way that’s why it looks a bit different, all those corners clipped.

  14. I bought the S3 rather than TT back in the day for the stealth performance but still love this shape nonetheless. 3.2 v6 are great lumps and sing beautifully. It's what I'd put in my mk2 gti if I wasn't such a stickler for originality.

mine looks a bit of a wreck as was my dads and he scraped all 4 corners! However, for a 22yr old car it still shifts when the turbo cuts in. I’ve wheel spun it in 3rd and enjoy losing the BMW drivers that get on my backside on the mway :).

I’ve had 2 Alfa Sprints too :). As my dad said about both the Coupe and the Sprint, They drive and corner like they are on rails :)

  19. I’ve had 2 TTs and it is a myth they are hairdresser’s cars.

Anyway, have you been on holiday this year? Something for the weekend sir?

I almost ordered a new one in 2010. Luckily I had it on a 24 hour test drive first.
It was great once you were in it, but I couldn't physically get in or out without bumping my head.
