Is that Holy Island in the distance ...if so, might the site be at Budle Bay between Warren Mill and Bamburgh ?
    Nice spot .

  4. Yep, that's the site. Cracking views, should imagine it can be a bit exposed, however. It was busier than I expected at the end of July.

I was driving all around there 2 weeks ago. Maybe you saw Alberta (my green and white ‘71 Dormy)?

  6. It's about 2 1/2 hours South of me, it's a handy overnight stop over on my way to Englandshire. If I finish work a bit early, I can be there before it gets dark to pitchup and cook. The M6 is quicker, but the A1 is a prettier route.

Oh wait. Not Holy Island in Anglesey... My suspicions were aroused when I though 'nobody goes 2.5 hours south to England via Anglessey...' :D My bad.

Never been ...but driven past it ...what are the facility's like ? ...might be heading that way in Sept .
We usually stop at West Kyloe site, which is more or less the opposite side of the A1 to that one , but it has decided to close for covid .

  14. Not much in the way of facilities, I am afraid, an Elsan point and water, that's it. But it's cheap £10, per night and the views are spectacular
