I am struggling to find a decent quality replacement retractable aerial. I have fitted a couple of repo ones over the last few years & both have broken at the base. Any one found a decent one?
I used the one from Cool Air, but they all look much the same, I'm afraid. Have you tried Schofield's?
My van originally had a single mount type on the bulge, but whilst the aerial was okay, the rubber seal has all but perished away - I couldn't seem to find another one at the same angle to fit. So it got welded up and I took a very deep breath and drilled two holes in the front panel. The aerial looks nice - I rather like the vintage look of the dual mount - but even after buying the best one available from Schofields (I think, maybe Coolair?), the two mounting bits have started to rust. Quite why we can't get decent stainless steel mounting bits, I'm not sure.
