Has anyone done and island hopping (hopskotch) ticket with calmac for the outer Hebrides, ive booked a particular date for firsr and last journey but dont want to be tied to the ones in between, just not sure if I can do the "print at home" tickets without booking actual journies. Anyone know?
C Can you phone the local ferry offices? You've been on this all morning, could have driven there by now
I don't know the specifics for hopskotch, but i think we changed a few ferry times. I do remember they were very helpful on the phone
If you are planning on visiting more than one destination during your trip, then a hopscotch ticket will give you convenience and flexibility to add more than one route to your ticket. These tickets are offered for convenience only and do not offer any discount on the single journey ticket price. Tickets are valid for 31 days from the date of your first journey and can be used in either direction on your chosen route. On certain routes we recommend a booking is made in advance of travel. At the moment i think you have to make amends over the phone, rather than online.
next weekend, 25 July, due to current climate you now bascially have to book each leg, so we've had to make descions!!! All booked now, a quick 7 day getaway Oban to Barra and then back to the mainland via Stornaway to Ullapool, then visit Skye on the way home And yes they were very helpful on the phone
excellent, i'm sure you will have an amazing time. Keep your eyes peeled, whilst on the ferry, or whales and porpoise etc
it was next year Paul, its under review at the moment & might be 2022 but certainly no later than that
yeah making firm plans is hard at the mo! Not sure when we will rebook our Denmark, Sweden, Oslo adventure for or if I'll even be able to go away for that long. Booked in for a week in Lake of Menteith Scotland end of May 2021 though
