I draw the line at flashing - dodgy or not ...

 

Bit of both, not used it at all in 12 months and very little the year before at least i've got my garage back

 

Could you run your fingers over his transom while you're there?

New engine seal, and got the bumpers and exhaust box back on. Bit quieter, now.back on

Replaced some dash bulbs.

Fitted some petrol flap rubber grommets.

Test 'Fitted' my new cab door window vents.

Initial impression is they are good quality, very heavy, possibly difficult to store when not in use, doubt the mesh holes are quite small enough to stop all midges & mossies. Would have been fantastic on last year's European trip/heatwave.

Doubt I'll need them until next year now!

 

I finally had a bit of a tidy up in the garage so I can resume rebuilding the engine. Successfully switched from woodworking mode to mechanicing

I even cut down the top "cover" from a stack of writable CDs to fit in the heads, to measure the combustion chamber capacity, for calculating the compression ratio

After several months hiatus I've got the ball rolling again

 

Not having a clear cd I made one from a cd box the other day. I thought it would probably shatter but I scored round a paint tin with a knife then snapped off the excess without a bother.

 

Luckily the top of the stack is just a thin clear sheet of plastic the size of a CD. Thick enough for the job, but thin enough to cut with scissors
