As at some point I've got to redo my brakes and bleed the whole lot: anyone used the braided Goodridge hoses? What's your pedal feel like?
Not done them for the van yet, but I've made my own for other cars and, to be honest, I'm not sure that I can tell the difference. But then again, I've never done a proper back to back test without changing a load of other stuff.
I fitted braided Goodridge hoses about 10 years ago; the pedal is well ‘ard. But I’ve never driven a bus with standard hoses.
Yes I have good ridges (ha ha autocorrect!) pedal feels more positive but tbh that could be the new callipers having an effect also.
Fitted 'em to ours. Pedal is lovely and firm! (Hose has been connected to a brake caliper since taking this pic ).
Lovely and firm!?!?!? Well, is this the kind of language I can expect on TLB from now on? My daughter reads this forum, you should all be ashamed of yourselves!
Unservoed work well, but with quite a soft pedal, no matter how well you bleed them, which I suspect is the hoses. As I've got to bleed the whole lot, might as try the Goodridges.
Yes and nice.. but connector to hard line about 5mm too short so need to bend bracket or extend hard line... Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
I might be changing the lines anyway. Where did you get your Goodridges from? Assume everyone sells the same set.
They are really are not difficult to make yourself to whatever length you want. The only drawback is the cut ends of the braiding are a bit sharp when you are assembling them. You can also get them in a discrete black cover if you want to look more OEM.
