    Crich Stand, a memorial to the Sherwood Forestor's Regiment, the stone built one in the pics was built 1920 ish, the previous one burnt down

    My Grandad helped build it when he was younger.

    Yes it used to, it was visible over seven counties but the bulbs used now aren't as bright. On a clear day you can see the Humber Bridge.

    No, only a memorial! There is an OS trig point up there, aside to that its next to a quarry which has caused the stand to lean towards the face.
