The booze cupboard is bare and we are in early stages of self isolation. I have just ordered a case of wine that will be here Friday and a shopping delivery (made some time ago) comes tomorrow but not holding much hope of that making it through, most things out of stock or will be replaced with individual milky bars as happened previously. Really enjoyed today keeping kids entertained while Mrs Mattlad works in improvised home office, but, but this has ruined everything.... I can’t do this sober....
I've managed to keep busy last four days taking engine out of a Mégane and replacing it . What a job and still not finished. But I've had no booze over all that time .
Sitrep: 1/3 bottle gin - no tonic 1/3 bottle creme de cassis - no white or sparkling wine for Kir/royale 2 bottles of corona! Mexican lager 1 bottle of Edinburgh gin distillery elderflower liqueur (sister lives near Edinburgh!) 1 bottle Edinburgh gin distillery raspberry liqueur I mean it’s not mother Hubbard but it’s no way to live...
To be honest mate, that's just slack. Darwin wrote about blokes like you. Not sure you'll make it...x
I just quaff a bottle of Brandy at Christmas these days and water the rest of the year, I'm so good. In years gone by I'd be down to drinking the sloe gin by now. That's real desperation, though I did once drink Sherry at Techenders which comes close.
Chin up fella , bag `o` lemons , six pack of tonic and the jobs a gud `un - you won`t care after a couple of stiff ones I must say i need to address the current situation , down to liquers and half a bottle of sherry , the sherry is `on the menu` tonight ....
I admit it - I took my eye off then ball and have been blindsided by a self imposed isolation and not having inadequate cellarage at this property. I’m to blame and will have to work so hard to make it up to myself.
I would guess supermarkets are prioritizing food and toiletries over restocking the booze isle. I know my local supermarket has been "drunk dry"
We’ve got bottles and bottles of tonic, and you’re only a couple of hundred yards away. So near, yet so far...
Feel your pain... apart from I dont like gin... but .... I haven't got much lager in... so I might be shaking very soon....
Been cleaning my workshop and all the bottles of homemade wine I keep finding in odd corners that we had thought were a bit nasty are now looking better by the day A
While everyone was in a panic and buying up all the loo roll I made sure of the alcohol situation so all I will say is
