Going to the big city on Saturday the 14th of March.
5 of us coming to a gig on Great Portland Street .
Being a tight git I begrudge paying for hotels nearby , Im after suggestions of hotels on the outskirts ( coming down the A1) with parking and near to a tube station within easy staggering back to the hotel distance - anyone any suggestions ??

We always park up at Redbridge and tube it in. We stayed in a private room in generator hostel near kings cross. Was about £25 a head

I’m tight but I need a bed , stopped in a hotel at kings cross last year - slept in my coat - filthy flea pit.

  6. You stayed in a hotel in Kings Cross?

Did you pay by the hour ?

I have a feeling the bed I was in may have seen a lot of action that day before I checked in

  11. Did you get "room service" ;)?

Plenty of space under Charing Cross bridge on the South Bank. You'll have to bring your own cardboard, tho'

Looking on the Travelodge website, there are hotels in Fulham and Battersea that can do 3 adults in one room £85

@Dazza , we stayed in the premier inn hub at Kings X a couple of years ago for one of the British Summertime events in Hyde Park.
Hotel was immense. Cool rooms and smart bar. 5 quid breakfast.
It had only been open a month or so at the time so was immaculate.
Just got to drop on with deals on rates but the 2 of us had 3 nights over a weekend for 240 quid.
Currently showing 100 quid for 1 adult on your night

If everyone saw footage of all the sordid antics and christ knows what else over a space of a year .
No matter what level of quality rating ....You probably wouldn't even want walk through the door .

    It's a fair point :D
I used to spend my life travelling from one hotel bed to another! Horrendous. Mrs Monkey will tell you, it takes something fairly extreme to get me into an hotel these days...
That's why we've got 2 buses with our own beds in ;)

IBIS in Greenwich is usually £70 a night on weekdays and can sleep up to 3 people per room - but be careful what size room you book.

You also get the relatively quiet DLR if you can't be arsed to walk (and you can sit near the front with your hands up in the air like a really poor man's rollercoaster) to Canary Wharf and then London is your lobster.
