Not enough! Less than 1500. We've spent more time travelling in the t3 this year as it's just fallen that way. Mrs Monkey uses either the beetle or her doka for work and we are currently 3283 kms into a whizz to Spain and back in the syncro. So the commitment to the money pits is as strong as ever and we always gravitate back to Chip...
Just over 2000 since finally getting it back from new engine earlier and protracted respray in May. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Zero, and counting In fairness, we’ve had a few other bits to attend to and I’m thinking full resto is on the cards
Home is just west of Lyon in France but we lived near Aberdeen for 30 years and still have a daughter there.
None in the bay this year.. I have done plenty of Aircooled miles in my Bug though.. The T4 has been the van of choice this year...
Only about 400 as engine was heading to a crappy death. New top end fitted in November so hopefully many more next year. Still managed 4 camping holidays including Windermere marathon (me not the the van!) and vintage bike sportive in Ulverston. 1500 ... Not bad for a "trailer queen" meant for weddings (zero) with an owner obsessively trying to finish a section of self build .... Might get a longer coastal touring break next year, in which case it might reach 2000
a bit of a poor do from us this year Gusbus managed a mere 1,223 miles which we aim to do way more of in 2020, we was recovering from the house move and had a lot of music stuff going on locally! Major on the otherhand excelled with a whooping 1/4 of a mile
I know that on average the previous 5 or so out of the 19 previous owners of my bus did 200-400 miles a year looking at MOT mileages.
Incidentally we put 200k on our first one over 9 years. I saw an advert when it came up for sale a few years back saying it was mint and had less than 100k on it from new
I was a bit suspicious of 48000 miles on the clock on our bus back in 2010, and the wear on the pedal rubbers.. all I know is it now has a genuine 26000 miles on the clock...and new pedal rubbers. (The MOT certificates tell the truth)
Did close to 5k in 2018, so increased limit to 7k for this year.....2 holidays cut short with rides home on big yellow taxi and the offer of a free holiday in the Algarve with relatives, meant a miserable 2.5k this year. Must do better next year.
These days definitely, but that was 10 years ago when I was doing my westy when I stumbled across my old one being sold. Not sure it was so easily checked then was it? I would find it difficult to believe a van built in 1971 would have less than 1000k on it though
Not exactly sure, but probably about 3000 miles. The odometer reads (1)79,000 miles at the moment so not too bad for a 47 year old westy. I've put nearly 100,00 miles on it since 1995 when I bought him.
I've done 6000 in the camper, some of it commuting as the weather has been Marmite. I've done 1600 on my bicycle - which I'm disappointed in, but then I realised I hardly touched my bike January to March as I wasn't well and again rubbish weather meant I drove to work more. ...
