Thankfully, Gun Jesus on YouTube has delivered a Christmas treat. Twenty solid minutes of interesting hats! Right up @bernjb56 's street
Am I missing something? We have got through Christmas day without turning on the tv or radio at all. Nice dog walk on the moors, malt whisky and present opening, log fire, mallard with orange sauce for tea followed by stilton and port, a coffee and a few chocolates. I am now worn out, contented and ready for bed. Who needs a tv?
But with no tv you’ll be missing a 90 minute film of the wonderful Dolly Parton on BBC2. Got a bit worried when I saw it was on that maybe she’d died. She hasn’t. Phew. Fab documentary film though
Of all the concerts I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to hundreds, she was one of the most engaging and most memorable. It was a really good film (made this year judging by the credits) and a reminder of, yes, she is a very good laugh and nobody’s fool.... but also very self effacing and honest. Might have to investigate some of her very early albums.... nothing like a bit of Christmas Day eBay searching
We used our present of Netflix to watch "Stalin is Dead" directed and partly written by Armando Ianucci of "In the thick of it" fame ... to a moaning chorus from my Dad about how it wasn't his cup of tea because of how terrible the events being satirised were. He's good for his age but can still irritate with the best if them Otherwise a very pleasant turkey crown + log fire sort of a day Getting rained on tomorrow and having trouble finding somewhere local that's open for lite bites ...... Special edition DVD of 2001 Space Odyssey pole position for tomorrow
