    Today is National Album Day.

Those of you who know me, know I spend a large amount of my time -especially after a few beers- waxing lyrical / getting up on my soapbox (delete as necessary) about the wonderfulness of albums. The joy of listening to an entire album from start to finish, as the creator of it wanted us to - and definitely NOT putting it on shuffle, or cherry picking our favourite songs, sticking them on our iPod and never listening to the other tracks ever again.
My winter job means that I spend 5 months of the year driving a truck all day, and I love the fact I have an iPod just rammed with albums (mostly digitised from my vinyl collection), and I get to listen to them in their entirety whilst I drive.

So in celebration of album day, how about we take a leaf from Radio 6 Music's book and share the name of some of our favourite albums: the ones you can listen to all the way through, and would happily then go back to the start and listen to all over again... and maybe post a track from it (preferably a slightly more obscure album track rather than the 'single').
    Fancy it, TLB?

Lurking in my Top 10 favourite albums would be
Kate Bush - The Kick Inside
so have this one for starters

and also some very early Annie Lennox / Dave Stewart in the form of
    The Tourists - Reality Effect

    I could go on.....

If so, will someone please let Ms.T know that I've got permission. :chewie::chewie::chewie:

  17. Ok, so at the risk of opening myself up to ridicule, The Innocents is brilliant all the way through.

  18. I still listen to my gramophone Grandad, so I tend to listen to at least a whole album side.

This one is a great one for the audio shows I help out at, both musically and literally.
