What power does a 2002 120,000mile 2.5 Subaru engine have?

Ooh that looks like a lot of bhp to me. :)

    What box is that on?

Is 30% loss through drivetrain typical?

If is a Subaru, wonder what transmission loss is on a VW box.

Torque is pretty up the Rev range, assume that’s the 16v heads?!

Nice result Matt, is this the 156bhp flavour engine?

    Santa Pod next!

  4. it builds from 3000 and is lovely and flat then picks up again. 30% loss is fairly normal, certainly nothing to worry about.

box is 4.44:1 diff so quicker acceleration but higher revs at the top end for the mph.

  5. I think its the 164BHP but not certain, bloomin close to stock though for the age.

  6. Also as my westy weights 1500KG it roughly equates to the once magical 100BHP per ton.
