Never ceases to amaze me how differently the rules on historic vehicles have been implemented in different EU countries. Am I right in saying that in France the vehicle must be unmodified in all respects? I think that's true in Belgium anyway.
It’s only the British that think the same rules apply all over Europe, hence the desire to leave - possibly. My bus has modified suspension and power steering and the mods were noted on the CT (MOT), it passed but strictly speaking it should not be altered from the original specification.
So much for bendy bananas eh? I don't think we realize how open to interpretation these directives ate, the Spanish, I believe, also require originality.
