As david said, but the diesels are pants, TD just about livable with. Just remember 4x4 will get you further up a hill than a 2wd but it won't stop any better going down a hill.
Dooooowowooo it! Always fancied one, a 16" er fully jacked, might even think of a Scooby engine in a Syncro
It’s because I got stuck in a muddy puddle Last time I went to techenders. @Robo was shouting something to Me as I drove past his van but I couldn’t hear so I stopped - turns out he was shouting not to to stop or I’d get stuck. The poor buggers pushing me out got wet and muddy...,
@Bigherb is right imo. The 2.1 when running well is a nice motor but just not powerful enough for full confidence in extreme off road. Especially in deep mud and sand. Same with the diesel. Tdi conversion or 2.5 Scooby depending on gearing and original tank or where you want to take it
I test drove a 1.6td years ago -it’s was quite sprightly until the throttle cable snapped and we had to crawl back to the garage half on the kerb. That and the trail or black smoke put me off buying it.
