The grapevine has told me that a T3/T25 (or whatever they are) Syncro may be up for sale in the locality, a 1990 year LHD van. I, being a fool, maybe interested in securing this for my slowly house ncreasing pile of rusty VWs It’s all smoke and mirrors and i await a call, at an unspecified future date, from a lady as to if her van would be for sale. In the meantime- what are the main issues with these that I will undoubtably fall foul of if I were to purchase it?

Drive train is fairly expensive to repair, rust in the seams , sliding doors and tailgates are expensive, engines are pretty good, diesel near bullet proof

Id like to think they are in the 20p bin at Woolworths, with the Rusty Lee and Shamen cassettes. But alas, no more woolworths....
