I'm afraid I have to disagree with that. A lot of people don't know what's best for them. They rely on the food industry telling them what to eat and the food industry is motivated solely by profit. They spend a fortune on advertising their junk to you. They load their products with salt and sugar to make them moreish and add chemicals to make them last longer on the supermarket shelves. The only response the government has come up with is a puny sugar tax as they are in the pocket of the big manufacturers and distributors and, of course, less sugar equals more chemicals equals more hyperactive children equals more stressed parents equals more comfort food equals more obesity equals more strain on the nhs. Rant over (until further notice).
I concur to this, an all! No different to in the 1950’s when the Marlboro man rode around on his horse, telling everyone that smoking was good for them! (Sort of thing, but that’s a whole different thread).
Weigh in yesterday - 2 stone less than 8 weeks ago. a little exercise and vastly reduced alcohol intake , and diet - low calorie, no carb, no sugar and above all no crap at work .. Still a little more to go at , I’m actually enjoying it, I even have to admit the words ‘ that was a lovely salad’ left my lips last night... I don’t think I’ve ever said that before
I know .... salad .... bloody salad - can’t believe it - it even had green leafy stuff that wasn’t lettuce in it - must’ve been hungry
but, but... the vegans are the only ones us veggies can take the pee out of ok, apart from the 'vegetarians who eat fish and/or chicken' but we usually just kick them.
Yeah, I think i do , a little - keep doing 5 mile walks and they’re getting easier , need to increase the distance - I have a 26 mile hike to do for Macmillan in July
