I love it, the difference that can be done if a bunch of people give someone the price of a posh brew is bloody phenomenal. But I have one question.... How the hell do people watch it without becoming a gibbering, snotty wreck?!?! I’m now cleaning the kitchen for the second time and have been for 3 wee’s that I didn’t need, just to get out of the room for a sec! But I can’t turn it off!
Bit of a tear jerker! I can’t believe the strength some people have. It angers me how the completely awesome job a lot of the carers and workers do for not a lot of cash and the massive difference they make yet their jobs are seen less worthwhile than the money manipulators or premier league footballers whose weekly wages could make a massive difference to lots of kids lives.
Could not agree more! I worked at a charity for about 2 years a while back and there were people there doing jobs that just beggar belief, but doing them with a smile on their face because they knew what they were doing enabled others to do the basic things we all took for granted. Got to admit I still feel slightly jealous of them in a way, I’d love to have that kind of fulfilment.
Don't watch it any more. I'm afraid it has become too big for its own good. Instead I give money to local charities. There is a children's hospice near us that is in dire need of money.
