@snotty this review may put you off Screwfix Titan vacuum . I like his last line. I forgot to say I don’t bother with the wheels on mine as it meant it rolled about in my van and they were a bit rubbish. Reviewer on Screwfix site "Bought this the week before they discounted it so even less impressed. Suction is great, have to say but pipe gets blocked very easily with some materials such as wood shavings. Hose pipe is very thin walled and creases easily if you are not careful. There is no design feature on the machine body to help with coiling neither the hose or the lead. The lead appears two be a PVC type insulation which is very stiff and hasn't yet lost the "set" of being packaged. The carpet cleaning head is comical (but not funny), it is pivoted in the middle so just wants to dig in and "roll" whether you are pushing or pulling, it is useless. So overall impression? Designed, tested and approved entirely without any practical considerations beyond it has to provide impressive suction......which it does. Henry would roll in his grave."
So @snotty did you sort out Charles' issues, or get a replacement yet? If you fancy a foray into the world of 'George', I've just been offered one gratis.... my Aunt & Uncle are getting divorced (who the f*** gets divorced in their 70s?? But I digress.) and apparently neither of them wants George; he's working fine - but apart from a small rug by the bed, I've got no carpet, so bugger all use to me......
Charles has redeemed himself for the time being. Stripped the motor out, checked his seals n stuff, and gave him a right rodding down his hose with a broomhandle . Mysterious chunk of plaster fell out. Sucking ok for the mo, so we’ll see... The Titan job does look cute, but is mighty small inside. We’ll see... Thanks for offer Sarah - think I’m ok for the mo!
I'm not sure I can bear to see him languishing in the skip, so sad.... I may have to rescue him anyway
You're all soft! Ha ha ha business woman! I might... I've already got a Henry that doesn't get any use
But he’ll be saved and then go on to fulfil his life’s purpose. Stick him on the boot sale and set him freeeeeeeee! Can you really commit him to a future that doesn’t befit his dreams? Can you?! His life is not yet over but you will be condemning him to a future where death is his only release
Ha ha ha ha, Shucks, pull on the heart-strings why don't ya? Now I have to rescue him!! I'm such a push over....
Such a short time on this earth, too short to spend on regrets and what might have beens. Save Henry!
YAY! You know it makes sense, you know he deserves more. Setting him free may be the greatest act of love and kindness he’s ever known.
You daft buggers! Right, the deed is done, the rescue plan is in place and I'll be giving him temporary refuge when I get back from the car boot sale tomorrow.
It’s brilliant. Is there an arsey Henry too? Do they come with different changeable expressions like mr. Potato head? If not, they’re missing a trick there.
