Has anyone else noticed the increase in ( extreme ) right wing postings on FB?

  1. I think that it's called the silent majority, like with Conservative voters, who don't believe in trying to impose their views on everyone else.

  4. This is something I can’t get my head around. We are constantly told by the left that somehow those of us who are centre right are out of step with the right thinking majority, but the last time I looked the left haven’t won an election in years, so I’m not sure it’s us that’s in the minority and out of step with the general population.

We are constantly told by the left that those of us who voted for brexit are some how a bunch of racists. Well more people voted to leave than stay, so 51% of the country are racist are we? My god fearing, church going, tolerant father is a racist is he, cos he voted to leave as well.

Now I’m a racist cos I happen to think it’s perfectly fine to have pride in being an Englishman and to display my countries flag.

I dislike a huge amount of lefty labour policies. I think one term of a corbyn government would set this country back twenty years, but I keep my opinions to myself and don’t try to slur every labour voter I meet by implying they are communists.

    I’m glad I don’t have Facebook.

  5. One of my favourite terms! Ive always suspected their silence is due to shame.

Be interesting to hear the conversation if you ever pick them up in your fake taxi.

Who told you were racist for flying the flag?

  8. Did you not see the last ge results and the purchasing of dup? This also is another topic altogether on proportional representation, boundary changes etc etc ... a little more complex.

A lot of folk did vote for brexit based on lies, fear and misinformation. Have you seen the current investigation with the leave overspending and Cambridge analytica? Is winning really winning when it’s rigged?

I don’t know your father, nor his religion, but there is a massive inconsistency with Christian values (particularly in the US, see trump) and the division and subjugation of people for own gain which is certainly not any Christian teaching I’m aware of.

    Flags... think we covered that.

I am a lefty (and proud of that badge, maybe I should get a flag?) and while I don’t agree with all of the labour manifesto (you know Corbyn supports brexit, right?) I think that it will be a kinder, fairer more inclusive politics for more people.

I don't get that. Who said that in this thread. It's our flag, if you like flags and want to wave your flag, what's wrong with that?

The right wing extremists used it as a propaganda tool very well, but it is still the flag of England and the U J the flag of the union.

Yes I did. Although Mrs may made a poor choice of timing when going to the country and lost her majority. She was still able to form a government, something which labour were unable to do as they didn’t win enough seats. I’m pretty sure that labour have and would also enter into deals with smaller parties to enact their legislation. We were given the opportunity to have proportional representation as part of the deal between the liberals and conservatives and the country rejected it. Boundaries change all the time due to shifts in population otherwise first past the post couldn’t work.

We hear this a lot from those on the left who seek to tell us that the brexit result should be over turned. I’m yet to meet anyone I know who voted to leave who thinks that they were in any way lied to. I voted to leave based on what I see happening to my country. As did everyone else I know.

  17. (you know Corbyn supports brexit, right?)

Yes. I did. Pity he didn’t have the balls to admit it and actually campaign to what he believes in. Rather than just objecting for the sake of it.

  18. And yet conveniently the boundary changes serve the tories better. Certainly here. Uncanny that.

  20. And yet there are many folks who have come out publicly and said they were lied to and didn’t realise the implications.... Grimsby for example.
