And yet it still lists the VAT when you get to checkout, but I can't find the actual discount code. Thought I might have a sniff at electronic ignition if its 'on sale'......
Take a good look at Accuspark on eBay... half the price and similar adaptive dwell to the mega hyped Pertronix Ignitor 3..
I was looking at the bog standard Pertronix Ignitor for Vac Advance genuine Bosch dizzys (the 3 is waaay to much for my van!) but I'm putting it on hold anyway - at least until I've paid for the remainder of the welding, and hopefully an 0range lower half spray. Are the electronic ignition benefits worth it, or are points just as good?
Hmmmm , the accuspark is half the price..... but I also recall hearing lots of failed module stories about them. Or is that just the whole 'only write a review when it's bad' thing?
IMHO you're taking pot luck with an Accuspark. Chinese four year olds in a dark shed can only make so many of them before cocking them up. If they fail, you're stuffed.
I bought one of ebay and made a reall difference to my bay engine ran really sweet then stopped working think I did somthing wrong but emailed them and they sent a new internal bit free of charge and think there great bit of kit for the price
I’ve not heard many bad things about them, where the accuspark does get more of a beating. I think the decision is made
I had points for 8+ years. Never had to start a thread called “I wired my Petronix the wrong way and chucked £100 down the drain” Wouldn’t bother personally.
I see it as natural selection. I mean, it's two wires FFS. Anyone getting it wrong deserves it in my opinion
