Roads clean as a whistle today, tip top effort by North and West Yorkshire county councils. Shame the citizens of gods own bunked off work today. Was like driving at 7 o'clock on a Sunday morning.

Worrying news , just had a phone call roof on unit lifted .
I'm snowed in ,drifts and abandoned cars !

 

Just seen on the BBC news that the Forestry Commission have been using their 4x4 vehicles to help deliver hot meals to the elderly.
I think that's brilliant.

Another plus to this is that we all now know that @Barry Haynes has eaten today!!!!

Going to be a bit difficult to get to the pub tonight

 

There's a young lad in our village attached his own snow plough to his Defender and been driving up and down for the last 2 days clearing the roads and dragging cars out, the local council rang him this morning and told him to stop as he's not on their team or he'd be in trouble !! Tossers.
You can imagine the reaction on the local fb pages

 

That was quite common where we lived in the States. Our road wasn't ploughed or gritted by the County so you needed to do something.

 

Surely Bernie should know better
