I'm really liking this - it is almost like a concept for a modern version of the classic T2 and that colour really suits it.
Don't know I'm afraid. I like th look of your van. My least fave bit was the front, I reckon a nice narrow bumper would finish it off nicely. Imho. Are these recent photos? It's still looking good. I really like your internal ceiling
Thanks , very nice of you to say , it's taken a long time to do . Need to finish Where the cargo net is needs to be painted The photos are fairly new , 2 months ago
Wow, I absolutely love the smooth/shaved look...and your headlining is fantastic. Only thing I'd change would be the wheels...maybe steels with colour coded hubcaps to keep the smooth style? Also agree it needs some type of bumper...just not sure what lol. One of my previous favourite campers was a smoothed early above ...yours is right up there with it!
Can anybody help , I'm looking for someone with the knowledge of knowing of what to do ,to fit a stainless steel earlybay front bumper onto a late bay . I no there might be some tweaking , can you help ( pics if poss of the fixing points) Thanks .
It's been cold in my garage (no heating) been sorting my kick panel, don't like it, it's a bit of old cardboard hiding wire loom , water bottle and light domes which I like. The wiring looms out re-threading it so you don't see the wires ,relocating indicator and headlight wires, teck decked the front and had the biggest work out sanding the Marmite of the metel . It did warm me up and got in Positions that I feel I could never get into. Now waiting for it to warm up.
I have an early bumper on late chassis. The biggest problem you will have is that you need to notch the front panel to allow the irons to sit flush with the chassis rails. @davidoft pointed me in the right direction after about three hours trying to fit the bumper. How about a stainless tube instead, to match your number plate light on the rear?
I did think about it for years having round bar , but I don't think it would cut it , it needs something that flows round to the door.
