hi all I'm new to this forum I have just bought a restored t2 Devon 1971 but I,m afraid the interior is bare , any one recommend the best place or best way to get a Devon genuine or replica interior fitted help
Looks like you have gone the correct route buying one already restored, need more pics but looks good. There are lots of options, depends how much you want to spend and if you are going to do the work yourself.
Hi Thanks for the prompt response , I am in the middle of a couple of other restorations so ideally I want to pay someone to carry out a brilliant job of restoring to how it would have been , I know it will cost a bit , any ideas I am in cheshire
seen originals come up rarely these days, there's some bits on ebay currently, that might be the best way to get original. I would check e-arly bay forum as I dont know what model its meant to be - moonraker/tourvette/sundowner etc http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vw-t2-cam...324850?hash=item283932d672:g:PQsAAOSwrfVZV2bG http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-T2-Cam...975906?hash=item489f488762:g:FMsAAOSwbopZW-1V http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/70s-vw-de...622952?hash=item4d5de2bf28:g:Oz8AAOSw1BlZVrBl
Hi from West Lancashire - there's CamperShak near me in Ormskirk do a good interior - but not like the original
Welcome Cjal All things timber near York. http://www.allthingstimber.com/bus-furniture.html Again not original but top quality craftsmanship.
Hi and welcome! Most people on here will tell you that original Devon interiors will be pretty well rotted away by now so if you want a brilliant job, you will have to go for a repro. It won't be identical because fittings and colours etc aren't made any more but it could look pretty good and will last well if you don't use Weetabix!
wish mine had that fit. as said look at the costs of new interior etc. if you are restoring for a sale, then what you spend you may not get back. Its a funny time with Bay prices at the moment.
