  1. Cooling is one of my concerns - taken the aircooled motor all through Europe and down to Spain/Monaco/Italy before and dont want overheating issues on the slow busy hilly roads around there in future!

  2. PM me your email address mate , I'll forward it on, makes interesting reading!

  3. Been told the way to go is RJES rad and Fellows pipe kit. There's another guy on VWKD who does looms and he did have an engine for sale a while ago will try to find his name and will post it up. I've been told that it's best to take the loom out first that way you can keep checking that you haven't cut anything wrong and anything your not sure of just fold back into the loom always got spares in there then.

  4. 1 Kingy79 on VWKD does looms and nepenthe 88 on the samba has a good write up on removing a loom

  5. Still having fun doing the wiring. Buzzed out all the wires tonight to try and figure out what's what.

  10. You are defo doing this the right way. Doing the box at a later date looks like it's going to be a bit of a faff.

  11. Top work mate - like the gearbox work, if you need a hand give me a shout!

  14. More slicing, grinding, dicing of the gearbox means it is now ready for the kit. Just needs a complete clean (might even paint it) to get rid of all the Ali filings.

Just need to find a broken ty754 gearbox now to nick the pieces out of for the gear selector mechanism as the subanose is designed for that. If not I may have to go through all this again and grind a Ty754 box to bits
