I'll give it a try and see how they come up. It all comes apart quickly when it's been apart before and all the threads cleaned and copper greased
Mine were like that I just da them with 80 grit then 120 and they were fine after still a little bit pited but fine for use
Yeah same one It's of for a spruce up Its been about 6 years since I chucked the front end together to get to spring camp. It's also covered in overspray It's going to get repainted Some drain holes drilled into the bottom of the towers and cavity wax sprayed in there
I just want the front to be as good as the rear before it goes back on the road. Considering I've still no engine for the foreseeable future and the weathers turning for the better I might aswell crack on and do it.
Is it just an engine you need now? I'm sure I read up there ^^^ someone offering to lend you one.....
Plus @Mattlad is coming techenders in a week or so and I'm sure some Yorkshire folk are coming too so some kind of TLB courier service can be arranged ?
Time is tight for me (and need notice to get motor removed from the beetle in Mad Antonio's garage) and techenders is 50/50 but would make sense if the the Paramobile is to be used this season.....
Don't stress about it dude I'm in no rush now. Even if I had an engine I can't afford the tax mot and insurance at the moment I'm short of funds since buying the new daily
Stripped back an area in the front arch where welding from inside the van had burnt the underseal Then painted with rust inhibiting primer. I'll underseal over it once fully dry.
