Went to work this morning and one of the headlamp bulbs went. So, checking the handbook it said because it has Xenons, I need to contact Audi, so I did. WTF Sheffield Audi stated the following: £60.00 to run a diagnostic to check if the bulb had blown £180.00 for a bulb, I fell through the chuffin floor into Orgreave Pit when he said that. That didn't include fitting, which they estimated to be £80.00. I said are you being serious, £320 to fit a bulb, the answer was that it could be more if one of the ballast packs had gone too. Autobulbs.co.uk and £45.00 for the same bulb.
Brother in Law has just bought a A5. The window regulator has packed up. Audi want £1100. No I didnt put an extra nought on !
A bloke was telling me he had his 2.5 year old Renault written off due to the cost of a steering column
In Halfords a headlight bulb for a baywindow camper cost £12.50, the same size bulb for a westfalia costs £125
My wife's previous company A4 Avant 2.0 TDi went for a cambelt change. £1500. Fortunately we don't pay it.
Any vag group car i can scan and diagnose for you. But cars are getting more high tech and that means more cost when they break unfortunately.
