Hello, love the panel van, obviously the Purple machine is good, but shocked on the rot coming through, I've only just had to sort that out... and mine is a '78
I went to Danbury a couple of months ago. 3 year old ones have visibly rotten seams so this one hasn't done bad!
Morning from way down in the New Forest. Enjoy the forum, the banters good even if you don't need much technical help .....and get along to the Techenders weekend in April so we can have a nose around your van!
that has proper shocked me has that. I've not seen one at all, but sounds like they have really cut corners - especially when they are charging what they for them!
They're just not made for our climate. They're cheap, almost disposable, delivery vans in Brazil. I've heard that Danbury land them in this country for less than £10k, spend a couple of quid converting them (badly) to rhd, add an interior and knock them out for £40k. Fair play to them!
Come on mods, this is meant to be a family forum. I know we should welcome new members, but you can't allow people to discuss the benefits of pubic topiary. On the other hand please bring your Brazilian to techenders as I'm sure many of us are keen for a look at it.
Fair play to them indeed, but the mark up is just alarming... especially if they know they are going to be needing serious metal work in a few years.... Guess it teaches you to know what you are buying before spending the pennies!
