Today was a trial run for the first set of over riders made with white gel coat. The intention was for them to be smooth (no impact strips and no holes pre-drilled to fit them) but a lack of concentration resulted in an excuse to show one with an impact strip and one without. The thin rubber 'deluxe trim' seems to help. Still some fine tuning to do till any can be sold and the forum sponsorship paid.
Rubber looks sweet .........brackets fit as well ? The fibre glass can only be 1/16th inch thick if the edging strips fit ? Looks very good tho
The edging strip was a swine to get on let me tell you. Having mixed reviews on the with impact strips/ without impact strips scenario.
Late Bay - contact them and you get a discount on certain stuff....... or at least I do ...! it takes it off every item on their web site
Indeed the rubbers are a nice finishing touch.I'll check the thickness with my vernier tomorrow.2 coats of gelcoat and 2 ply of 450g matt.
Seeing as all his finances have gone into materials. How much is sponsorship and can I make the payment for him in the first instance as I feel sure I will be reimbursed at some point.
there have been a number who advertise parts and buses, you just have to google their mobile numbers and you will see that they are traders, continually buying and selling. I don't have any particular examples at the moment, but i'm sure if you check some out in the future you will find them.
Let me know when your phone number googling skills come up trumps. I haven't got time for that; I just go for the ones I notice.
We've probably already had them to be honest but please do. Since our beloved leader disappeared, it can take a loooooooong time to get anything sorted regards sponsorship.
