Just read the tag, had no internet, travelling home from Crete.

    Interesting comments from Eurocarb!

It's unfortunate that the apparent listening to customers only results in a willingness to charge twenty odd quid to change emulsions rather than a simple option at point of sale with no additional cost. Ah well, give it another 10 years...

Out of interest are F6s more expensive to buy than F78s?

Presumably that's because the carbs come in jetted to that spec and eurocarb have to supply the extras

    Ah right.
You'd think they'd order them in themselves with the right ones in then, rather than supply them with the "wrong" ones, unless you spec them up.

  12. I wonder if any of you has ever spoken to an Engineer at Weber in Italy and asked them why they fit a F78 Emulsion? Fitting a F6 Emulsion is not the correct fix because you "think" the car's stalling or bogging at pull off. Guaranteed you haven't set the correct throttle stop or the mixture screws are wrong. And if the Rolling Road tuners are in agreement, possibly your F6 fix isn't the most efficient, or best fix for your problem lads..

    just sayin'..

PS. Remember that recent "drag test" many of us entered? Did any of you have a look at the results? I think my stock 1835 with ICT's and F78 Emulsions was 7th quickest? And pretty close to the 2 or 3 just ahead of me.

I also found it weird how many of you guys claim Eurocarb is so much more expensive than fast car and others, yet if you do a direct comparison of everything, Carbs, Jets, Emulsions, Eurocarb's prices are all lower.

I don't get it, but then it's not an issue, I live 12 000 km's away from your island. Chin up.

Ok so engine is in. Took me 8 hours and lots of banged heads, dirt in eyes and petrol up the nose.
Changed all fuel lines for gates, and the clips for fuel line specific clips. Installed malpassi and reattached all the cables and wires I could remember.
Forgot how hard it is for me to fit an engine. I reckon 3hrs it took to just get engine in. Ridiculous. Mind you last time was 4 hours. Never again.
The webers are like a breath of fresh air. After setting the linkage in the garage, they were moving at the same time and they fired up straight away.
Started it up with the dipstick out and the oil filler cap off and made a nice puddle of oil. Oh well, got a 20l drum from euros anyway.

. Didn't have time to test drive it but it's sounding pretty good. Still got to fit tinware and foam, h/X's and exhaust before I test drive it. But yeah no noise or damage indications.

Laying on my back, swapping old fuel line out of the tank for the new lines , with a full tank and it gushed right up In to my brain. I could have died.
