I like Louis Smith he's local to us and trains near where I work in Huntingdon, he retired after 2012 and has come back against all odds
To put our current performance into context, just 20 years ago in Atlanta we won just 1 gold and a total of 15 medals! We finished 36th in the medal table behind sporting powerhouses such as Kazakhstan, North Korea and Algeria
I remember that Olympics in Atlanta, we just didn't expect to get anything and it proved to be the case. I'm not sure what happened in the years between then and Beijing, but from 2008 onwards we've actually become really rather good - especially considering the size of GB compared with the likes of the USA and China. Feeling very proud
