    Unbelievable really. Such utter Marmitee

It was rusty like yours where it came apart too, brand new. I welded it properly and carried on which was less bother than moaning then getting a replacement that would also need finishing before fitting.

I'll get a refund. Especially if David has a decent original in the shed.

I just checked. Purchased 2 weeks ago.

I've asked for a refund rather than a replacement.

Running much better. He suggests I get twin carbs.

    Max 103bhp

    Another expensive bill

I left a nice pool of oil behind for him to remember me by. I wonder if it's coming from dipstick boot?

  15. Twin carbs would make a big difference I reckon

    103bhp is good though

How much does he charge then. I meant to ask him last time we were there but in all the excitement I forgot.

Agreed. He had a 1641 in just before mine and that was pushing 116bhp twin carbed

He said his weber guy said get 34ICT but at £400 for the complete setup I need to convince the wife. That's not easy considering we should be moving in about a month.

No idea but it was 190+ blood for about 3 hours which was the same as last time.

Blimey, if he can improve my fuel consumption by an extra 3 mpg it'll only take me five years of running the van to show a profit. :)
