I thought they lost, 39-21 to the All Blacks. Well played England and Ireland though ;)

For the first time in maybe 30 years of being disinterested in soccer, finally, in the England game I can see some shape.

You can easily spot it in Rugby and Basketball, never seen it in soccer though.

Not sure what to make of it other than I hope all the home nations win - though surely this should be one team, same as the armed forces....

Bit unknowledgible here, but whilst a draw is a disappointment, I'd prefer to be the team creating loads of chances rather than the one that did half of bugger all all game?

Absolutely! It was a bit cruel though don't you think? Particularly as England over the past few decades have made a habit of it.
We are poor at big tournaments lately, but this lot look the best for a long time. Even Rooney in his new spot was excellent I thought. :)

Mate I'm a Welsh rugby supporter, I know what being denied right at the end of games feels like!

    Just a couple of observations:
The football pundits aren't very good are they, what's with the 'deserved' malarkey? I've never believed in that word in professional sport, there's the result and that's it.

Second one, is international football this unsophisticated? They will watch the video back tomorrow?!

We do that, and have been for 20 years in amateur rugby, Christ, my mate coaches his sons under 10's team and they get tackle, passing and set piece stats.
Professional rugby has players with gps trackers to measure location, accelerometer, and impact delivereing live telemetry...they have analysts that live update the water carries identifying weaknesses in the opposition and opportunities to players so they live fix during games.

What Brailsford did with British Cycling then Sky takes all this to a whole different level.

    Football surely can't be this....well....amateur?!

The tool at the end of the gardens cheering of Slovakian goal was heard over my telly, across two gardens through two closed doors.

He has since enjoyed my celebration of the Russian goal, which was done only to repay the favour as whilst I'm actually indifferent I'd support England second only to Wales.

Reassuring that the simmering Russian nationalism has finally publicly roused it's ugly head.

Putin's ongoing re-arming and shameful rousing of nationalism hopefully will come obvious whilst the great big euro distraction thing goes in.

  19. We all expect England to win:confused:
And we all expect to much from all the hype we create. Where good but there's a lot of other countys that are good!
are we hungry for the fight to win?
    I hope so.

I never expect England to win but still am always disappointed, I was 3 last time we won anything and I can't say I remember what I was doing, I don't know what Roy said to them at half time tonight but thought we were poor second half. Kane and Sterling were useless!
