It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to sell our unfinished project, it is a VW Type2 T2 1979 Late Bay window camper. 95% of the welding has been completed, it has had 2 new rear quarters, new front panel, new sills and jacking points. We have a new deformation panel and 2 new front door skins for it but not fitted. It has a 6 rib gearbox (has had the input shaft bearing replaced) - the best that was produced for these vehicles. The clutch is a MK4 Golf item - fitted but never used. The engine has been sourced from a MK4 Golf TDi - 1.9TDi, 115 BHP model, this has been registered with the DVLA and is shown on the V5. The Golf wiring loom has been modified to work with the camper along with the ECU. The fuse box has also been upgraded to a Golf MK2 item. All keys and V5 are present. There is several boxes of parts supplied with it which include nearly if not all of the seals that have never been fitted, snail fan in good working order, switches, levers and various bits and bobs. Also included is a spare rear window. The camper also has 2 50/50 sliding side windows. New rear light lenses. Front and rear bumpers. Rear bumper irons Seats are from a Mercedes van Just Kampers cover Has original wheels, suspension and everything else apart from the Golf bits listed above. Bought a 2nd hand overhead storage locker - never unpacked so unsure of condition, could be used as a template if no good. Canterbury Pitt (I believe) full pop top roof - not fixed down as this was due to be painted along with camper and then fitted. This roof is one of the tallest made for these. I am sure there is lots of parts I haven't remembered but as and when I find these bits they will be put with it. Mileage shown on ad is from the original aircooled engine not the diesel engine Maybe tempted by a sensible offer! Genuine reason for sale Be under no illusion that this is a turn key vehicle - it will require finishing off! Hi @sANDYbAY unfortunately not mate, if there was no time / monetary or skill constraints then maybe. Will be a shame to let it go but I would rather someone has it that can put the time into it and make it into what it should be.
