Its clearly never going to get finished. I've got a shagged old Landy I'll swap for it if you're interested?
This years mission is to get on with the metal work as much as I can - And I actually found some free time over a couple of days to do a bit on mine!! Nothing major, just starting on pulling out the rot... Really gutting, as the OG front arches are loads thicker than the gen replacements I've got new B pillars and jacking points with outriggers to go in!! See how the regular work goes as for those going in
Where did the arches come from, there's a few companies selling original quality arches and strongly suggesting they are genuine
Do these"original quality arches" have the corner brace neaer the seatbelt mount like the genuine brazzy ones do?
Genuine, is brazzy... And they still aren't the same gauge as OG ones I use the 2 piece ones... They're cheaper, and less work over the pre-assembled ones... Last pre-assembled one I did involved the use of a bottle jack, a lump of wood, and a ratchet strap Yep, I am that animal

You misunderstand me Davidoft was suggesting that some suppliers are passing off Original quality arches as genuine vw ones The genuine ones which of course are Brazilian nowadays have a cross brace near the seat belt mount I was asking if the original quality ones have the same brace If they don't then that would be one way of people being able to tell the difference
Good quality perhaps but not genuine, dunno who makes um but as the omission of VW and genuine is present they aren't genuine, lots of the suppliers are using the same genuine quality German made description, it's misleading
