  1. It's a nuisance them only being able to cover half of the races live - maybe if they were able to do them all they wouldn't want to pack it in.

They went from all live to half to save costs they now have to cut more costs so walked away totally

I was quite disappointed about this to start with, but they've said there will be no adverts during the race... which I think should be a given anyway! hopefully they'll go from grid walk to podium without interruption.

I didn't spot any mention of the highlights races... hopefully they're not lost completely! I know a few people like the Sky coverage, maybe having C4 on board will freshen things up for the terrestrial viewer... wonder if the presenters will jump ship too!?

hope so, although her credits are predominantly BBC with C5's Gadget show thrown in for good measure....

  9. Does anyone bother with F1 now it's got so Boreing.
Can't they have a year off experiments where anything goes, just to see how far they can push the technology, one engine a race so they can gun the nuts off it.

  10. This^^^^^^.
Having skimmed through this entire thread, the word that seems most prolific is boring and yet people still watch.
As far as I can see it's one huge marketing exercise, somewhat similar to selling water for three times the cost of petrol (Evian etc) or coffee for a 500% mark up. (Costa et al).

The sad FACT of motor racing ( because I know a few people still get hurt and worse ) and F1 especially is that it's too safe and to boring these days, just watching cars going round and round don't cut the mustard any more, back in the glory days it was still unsafe and more exiting, sad to think that but true, originally they got the big wages because every race was life or death ( that's why the masses watched it ) nowadays they mostly just walk away without a scratch, they are not earning the money, it's shockingly rubbish these days

  12. I enjoy watching all motorsports from clubman level up to the big boys but F1 just don't do it for me now.
I like watching the WEC endurance series. Mark Webber and Porsche have done good this year.
Moto GP, 2 and 3 now they is men. Along with any other motorbike racer.

    Maybe not.

    Wonder if it was amicable.

the internet says they are still friends and it's an amicable split it seems very strange - maybe it's had something to do with her thinking he was gonna finish racing the year they got married and now he's doing another as well as that one?

I know it's nearly time for the 2016 thread but it's looking very strong that crashdor Maldonado is out on his ear.... K mag to replace him at Renault

Well that's ruined the entertainment factor!!

In all seriousness, the grid is better with K mag.

Should we start warming up the speculation? Haas Or McLaren for the constructors? Nico or Raikonnen for the Drivers?
