My claim to fame, went to see Thunder at Derby Assembly rooms back in 1994. Stood talking to a geezer watching the support act, he commented on the support act and said they where ok (Gun I think) but the main act would be great, he announced! Said geezer wanders off towards the stage area, reappearing later on stage. The guy we was chatting to was Danny Bowes of Thunder
Just remembered a couple more:- I used to wash Trevor Sinclair's (ex QPR, Man City & England midfielder, now of MotD fame) XR3i in his YTS days at Blackpool, when I worked for a pressure washer company. I went to school with & worked with the worst referee in the league, Neil Swarbrick! Actually class him as a mate so I can say that. He was year above me at school & eventally came to work at G.E.C. Traction where I was an apprentice engineer at the time. Around the same era I saw "calm down, calm down" Terry from Brookside in a pub/restaurant having a Sunday with his wife & daughter, he looked just like Terry from Brookside but in a suit. That comes close to the Chuckles, surely?

My now elderly uncle was in the RAF in Cambridgeshire & knew Douglas Barder said he was a right B! Still a hero in my book. Mrs ST's uncle was head of the Welsh dentistry commission & was dentist to the Manic Street Preachers - still gets called out when they find someone's remains - looking for their drummer that went missing! Mrs ST herself has met Mark & Lard, drank with Cerys Mathews (Catatonia), Kelly Jones (Stereophonics) & most if not all of Super Furry Animals, oh & the little smelly fella out of Cast! Ryan Giggs was there the same night but she just took the p out of him apparently.
I played pool with Lisa Marie Presley a few years ago in my local. Also met her mum(but not her dad sadly) she lived in the village for a few years and she took Jeff beck down the pub a few times and fergie(sarah).
I was in adverts in the 70s for "a" milk marketing board series of adverts on TV and the Cliff Richard video in spain thing never happened thank goodness!
