  1. Saudi Arabia has executed at least 151 people so far this year - the most put to death in a single year since 1995.

The stark rise in the number of executions has seen, on average, one person killed every two days, according to the human rights group, Amnesty International.

"The Saudi Arabian authorities appear intent on continuing a bloody execution spree," Amnesty's report released on Monday said, quoting James Lynch, deputy director at the Middle East and North Africa programme.
It is the most people put to death in the kingdom in one year since 1995, when 192 executions were reportedly carried out.

Most recent years have had between 79 and 90 people killed by beheadings annually for crimes including "nonlethal offences, such as drug-related ones," according to the London-based rights group.

  2. I've a question on the fight with ISIS why haven't the oil wells they control been destroyed! I think its a bit like organised crime you can get rid of all the puppets and there will always be more but you need to get to the money that supports the organisation.

  3. in a nutshell:
Neoconservatives have been especially influential in the formulation of foreign and military policy, particularly in the administrations of Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush. They contend that power—military, economic, or political—that is unused is for all practical purposes wasted. The military might of the United States should be employed around the world to promote American interests.

My view is we should bomb Isis yesterday, today and tomorrow, and every time they regroup bomb them some more ,as I said before if only for the people who lost their lives in the twin towers, the London Underground, Russell Square, Tunisia, Paris, etc etc etc, most of you won't agree with my point of view but by doing nothing do you think these murderous scum are going to stop, if we, with the help of inteligence can take out their training camps surely that's better than doing nothing

  6. Add to that question, why haven't Israel been attacked?

There's mounting evidence to implicate US involvement in protecting the oil convoys traveling through Syria to Ceyhan (Turkey)...

  7. I know, but you only ever quote the anti American bit and never the bit where socialists and communists have done exactly the same thing.

  18. It's all very complicated for us ordinary people in the West to understand. My very basic understanding is that it is Sunni against Marmitee. Assad is a wahabbi which I think is a Sunni sect. The rebels fighting Assad's forces are ISIS ,Al Nusra and several others. Not sure but the rebel forces also fight each other. Then thrown into the mix are the Kurds of Northern Iraq,Syria and Southern Turkey. They are fighting ISIS with US help....and will expect/demand/declare a homeland state out of all this eventually. This is a problem because Turkey will not abide a Kurd nation. In the meantime Turkey is making millions out of smuggled oil that ISIS is shipping in huge truck convoys.Europe is trying to bribe Turkey to stop the mass immigration which it is currently turns a blind eye too...and makes big money out of.The US needs Turkey to stay as a team player so has not bombed the oil convoys despite having at least one aircraft carrier nearby....and airbases...in Turkey!Meanwhile someone very stupid shot down a Russian aircraft...and annoyed Vlad Putin. He is going to bomb ISIS back to the stone age.Vlad needs to show any potential Muslim freedom fighters in his country or near neighbours how he deals with them...think Checknya. Now the West has to be seen doing something.Assad looks to be the only alternative.Lawrence of Arabia said nearly a century ago.."Democracy does not run in the veins of the Arabs".My attitude is..let Muslim kill Muslim. They will despise us what ever we do...
