They are offering 1/2 price or better advance ticket sales on social media. I believe it's organised by the Camperjam crew, but I've seen nothing on TLB about it yet. Whadya think people? Tickets 60% off today! If your interested. Www.campercalling.com
Not far from me, but i would like to see a bit more info on the web site first, live music? like who?
We considered going especially with tickets at £35.00 per person but they rise to £89.00 per person with no announced bands..I think we'll give that one a miss!
It's a bit of an unknown with no headliners, but cheap. If the line up is anything like CJ then the discount price is about right and no one should pay full price.
Far to early for me to be thinking about booking tickets, but when they go up to £89 each I deffo will not be going. Thats £89x2 + a vehicle pass at £10 = £188!! And thats for an unestablished new show, not like its busfest is it. For two nights camping, no way. I can do a lot of weekends away with the mates or a weeks holiday camping at campsites for that. Just another jump on the band wagon make lots of money and bleed off the good and sometimes daft VW fans. Love my £20 small VW shows like Dubdayz Summerfest for example. Best stop ranting!
That's put me right off now. Sort of wish I'd bought tickets yesterday and decided about going later on. A bit like @AndyC below.
I guess they are trying to induce the panic buy now for the big discount. If they still don't sell tickets they could drop the price later. I can't see them selling tickets for £89 a head until they have a proven show! I think I'll go to the seaside instead
Mrs Daisy asked me about it yesterday as they r cheap and I said no way I want my own swimming pool for £200+ for a family of 4 !! Grill n chill cost me £36 for all of us
back in the days of the Run to the Hills shows in Alfreton, it would have cost you £18.00 for the weekend camping of an august bank holiday!
When that first started it was a brill show and that's how it should still be, back in the the day shows were run for the people that went and not for business, I don't know what world these event organisers live in but it's not my world. I think they rely on new people coming into the " scene " and people will still go but that one sounds very expensive, There was a big new show at Peterborough show ground this year called http://thegreatbritishcampout.co.uk/site/ that was run by a events company who do a few other shows and it was the first one, by all accounts it was'nt very good, it is only about 5 miles from us but we never even considered it. Like others have said, Camping in nice places with mates or little shows are much better value for money and usually better
There are plenty of little campsites popping up, pub nearby, fantastic scenery, what more do you want Last June, me n Chelle stayed sunday night in Dent, Beer n Music festival was winding down, we had a brilliant night in The Sun Inn, the atmosphere was far better than most of these larger shows and far cheaper too. By all accounts, Kettlewell has the makings of a cracking retreat..its on our list over a show anyday!
http://www.kettlewellscarecrowfestival.co.uk No pier? No chip shop? No arcades? Not for me. I've been before, my mother used to live in Buckden. There's the remains of a crashed B-17 or Hurricane or Mosquito or some other 4 engined bomber*, a Wellington perhaps, on top of the pike. *I no all about plains too
