Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by gary gizamo, Apr 17, 2018.

  1. hello, does anyone know if the ypiece can be replaced without cutting the floor out, I've been told it cant, also has anyone came up with any good alternatives to the ypiece, mine is totally beyond saving?

  2. Have a search on here, this topic has come up quite often.

  4. Here it is! It’s only just doable but can be done.

  5. Cut it out and fit a silicone one last forever

  9. So have you got rid of concertina pipes and changed them for silicone ones ?

  10. That’s a good question as mine are short and the P.O. has put some aluminium tube in the gap so I was looking for replacements. I assume it’s only there due to movement from the engine.

  11. This kind of fix was something I was looking at but its not all that much of a bargain so I've opted for an original y-piece from schofields, figured the original been on there for 40 od years so a new one should see me to my box

  15. Following this thread, all my pipework is missing under the floor, and I can’t decide what to do for the best.
